Taking Dietary Supplements Now (Part 1)

If you are taking a multivitamin, fish oil and maybe some green tea extract, and maybe you need a little bit about supplements. Your body needs to adjust to your workouts first before adding any type of stack or new stimulus to your workouts. That way the body can continually guess, and maintain constant burning of calories. After your workouts, getting protein to your muscles will boost protein synthesis immediately and therefore muscle growth. But the biggest question remains, which protein do I use?

Current research including one from Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research in 2006, shows that supplementing with a combination of WHEY and CASEIN proteins after working out spurs the greatest increases in lean muscle mass. Which is extremely important to increasing caloric expenditure, and creates the lean physically fit look.
