Avoid liquid calories as much as possible. Your brain has a harder time knowing how many calories you have taken in when you drink something compared to when you eat a meal.
This just simply means that a zero-calorie cup of water is just the same to your gut as a cup of pure cane sugar. So stick with unsweetened tea, diet soda, and water.
Please don’t forget to skip the sugar and reach for a low-cal sweetener when it’s time for your post-lunch cup of coffee. I enjoy the blue packet of equal the best because of the zero-cal content and the pure sugar as opposed to the processed. For me it’s always best to carry your zero or low calorie sweeteners just in case your favorite restaurant doesn’t carry it.
