Most of society believes that we can achieve a cosmetic look to the body through continuous repetition of one body part. A prime example I can use here is the classic 6 pack abdominals and obliques. I’m very sorry to say that exercising a specific part of the body where fat is deposited, such as thighs, back of the arms, and your abs will not stimulate the body to burn fat from that specific area.
The “flab” that everyone refers too is the actual body fat. The actual way of burning any type of fat off your body is too restrict calories consumed vs. what the body burns, and its called the First Law of Thermodynamics.
Unfortunately, we have no control of where it comes off first at any time. Where the body fat starts to disappear off the body is already genetically pre-determined for each and every person. So you can now stop wasting your time by doing 1000 crunches to simulate that perfect ripped stomach area. We can now focusing on being more time efficient in the gym because that is one thing we can’t get back, is more time.
Here are a few tips:
If you are trying to lose weight don’t focus on one body part that are not specific to your goal. Instead do exercises for all the body parts to strengthen and increase size if necessary. Remember we can reduce body fat with proper nutrition and by doing the least amount of exercise to initiate change. Then, increase exercise to continue your fat reduction to keep you motivated.
Rest assured that the fat will come off from all your desired areas, and the rock bottom truth is too maintain an caloric deficit and the body fat loss will occur.
